A commercial for a Chinese detergent brand called Qiaobi is doing the rounds for all the wrong reasons.
The advert, which was uploaded onto YouTube on Wednesday, has been called “jaw-droppingly racist” and “the most racist advertisement of 2016”, and it’s not hard to see why.
The commercial for the detergent brand starts with a lady stacking her washing machine, when a dark man in paint-splattered garments shows up.
The lady calls him to her washing machine,puts detergent in his mouth and shoves him into the machine for a thorough washing. After the wash is done, a clean Chinese man rises up out of the machine.
