Cricketer Yuvraj Singh and his mom Shabnam Singh went by Delhi on Thursday to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Yuvi’s wedding gathering on December 7. Yuvraj will marry British−Mauritian actor Hazel Keech in Chandigarh on November 30. Photos of the two at the Parliament flashed on social media sites even as the meeting was on. Talking only to Hindustan Times about the seven-minute meeting, Shabnam said: “We have invited Modi Ji for the reception in Delhi. We carried a box of dry fruits and chocolates with the wedding card. ”
Sharing high focuses, she included: “The best part was when he told me he’s from Panchkula(in Chandigarh). I’m also from the same place. He was my neighbour, was he said he has lived there for five years. He wsa very excited to share this with us.”
What did the PM need to state to prep to-be Yuvi?“He was very happy for my son and asked him about his health and how he was doing now. He expressed his concern when Yuvi was not well and shared how he used to send messages to him through social media.”
Shabnam also shared that Modi remembered meeting Yuvraj during 2011 World Cup. “They were remembering the time when Modi Ji had given Man of the Match title to Yuvi in Gujarat after 2nd Quarter-Final match between India and Australia in March 2011.” Modi isn’t the only politician on Yuvi’s wedding guest list. The invites will be sent out to some others soon.
