We’ve been waiting to hear from Ranbir Kapoor about his alleged affair with Alia Bhatt ever since both parties started making rampant public appearances apart from walking in together at Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja’s Mumbai reception. Seems like we’ve got an answer, finally. In an interview with GQ India, Ranbir addressed a question on rumours of his relationship with Alia and answered gracefully instead of dodging it completely. Instead of divulging in further details, Ranbir kinda agreed to have been dating Alia and left it at that.
“It’s really new right now, and I don’t want to over speak. It needs time to breathe and it needs space. As an actor, as a person, Alia is — what’s the right word — flowing right now. When I see her work, when I see her act, even in life, what she gives is something that I’m aspiring to for myself,” Ranbir told GQ India.
Ranbir’s answer to the ‘best thing about being newly in love’ was: “It always comes with a lot of excitement. It’s a new person, it comes with new beats. Old tricks become new tricks again — you know, being charming and romantic, all of that. I think I’m more balanced today. I value relationships more. I can appreciate hurt and what it does to a person much more than I could a couple years back.”
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, presumably, began interacting much more than they used to after working on Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra together. Last month, Ranbir watched Alia’s Raazi in Mumbai and exited the theatre with her while both of them were also spotted at the screening of Deepika Padukone’s Padmaavat.
The internet was super curious after Ranbir and Alia made an appearance at Sonam Kapoor’s reception while she only shared a picture with him from the do on Instagram.
Congratulations, Ranbir and Alia. Thanks for admitting the truth. Workwise, Brahmastra is still filming and is scheduled to release next year. Ranbir Kapoor launched the trailer of Sanju – in which he stars as Sanjay Dutt – on Wednesday while the film will release on June 29. Apart from Brahmastra and Sanju, Shamshera and a film with Luv Ranjan is on the cards for him.Alia Bhatt’s Raazi has impressed critics and fans thoroughly apart from earning over Rs 100 crore.
