Puns aside, Nicki Minaj and Nick Jonas teamed up for a track from the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack which dropped Friday (Feb. 10). Titled “Bom Bidi Bom,” the song is a certified bop.
After hearing Minaj’s signature purr in the beginning of the song, Jonas seductively croons his way through a majority of it before Minaj steps in to lay down another classic Nicki rap.
While the track isn’t quite as entrancing as the falsetto-filled Zayn and Taylor Swift collaboration, “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever,” “Bom Bidi Bom” certainly has its own level of sex appeal — especially in the lyrics. Jonas sets up Minaj’s NSFW rap with lines like “I’m an addict, I’m your patient / Your lips are the medication” and “Love me all night long / If you want baby.” As for Minaj’s words, well, you’ll just have to hear them for yourself.
