Actress Gwendoline Christie said epic fantasy drama “Game of Thrones” is one such arrangement that has given due significance to the ladies.
The 38-year-old actress, who plays Brienne of Tarth on the HBO appear, said “GOT” has been a distinct advantage as it gave a circular segment to its female characters, dissimilar to numerous different shows on TV, revealed Entertainment Weekly.

“This was a television show that would put women at the forefront. We were going to explore female characters in a way that conventionally doesn’t happen,” Christie said at “The Top 10 Game-Changing Game of Thrones Moments”,
Refering to cases of characters, for example, Sansa and Arya Stark, Daenerys Targaryen, Cersei Lannister, and Brienne, the performer said the ladies in the arrangement are free, unpredictable and intense.
“They wouldn’t simply exist as the mother role, the girlfriend role, the wife role, or the sister. They would be people in their own right. I think putting women to the fore is what has changed the platform for television now,” Christie said.
“Game of Thrones” season seven premiers in India on July 18.
