Meryl Streep: ‘I Wasn’t Deliberately Silent’ on Weinstein

 

Meryl Streep says she didn’t know Harvey Weinstein was supposedly irritating and striking ladies when they cooperated.

Weinstein “required me significantly more than I required him and he ensured I didn’t have an inkling,” Streep said in an announcement Monday. The Oscar champ said her relationship with him brought him believability, which she said he utilized “to bait youthful, trying ladies into conditions where they would be harmed.”

Streep said she formed the announcement because of a since-erased tweet from Rose McGowan, who got out Streep for working with Weinstein. McGowan has claimed that Weinstein assaulted her.

Streep said she’s sad McGowan considers her to be a foe since they are on a similar side in the battle to annihilate the present state of affairs control structure in Hollywood.
